I first heard about korfball after Hawks smashed my team in rounders! Thought I’d give the random sport a go. the pub trips/socials were a big factor in joining Hawks…

Karaoke and thinking I’m Beyonce when I’m doing it

Why did you start korfball?
I wanted an indoor sport that I could just go to once a week in winter to pass time without getting too involved. That escalated quickly

Wait, there are things outside of korf? What?! Probably cycling, especially in the Netherlands. It’s flat… and they play korf

I started high with joining Hawks just after the pandemic in 2021!
Why did you start korfball?
I used to play Handball for about 10 years and when I moved to Manchester, i tried a couple of other sports like Netball and Squash, but realised I wanted to join another mixed gender sport where I could meet fun people
What’s your favourite hobby outside of korfball?
Korf. You’ll find me always talking about my dog Nala and my cats Gandalf and Pepper! Any activity where I can bring Nala I won’t miss the chance! I’m also a gym lover and even that I hate running, I keep signing up for half marathons for some reason!
